I am looking for the family of my grandfather William Leonard Smith, born in Hart Co. in 1889. I have a delayed birth certificate which lists his father's name as John Anderson Smith and his mother's name as Elizabeth (Lizzie) McMurry or McMurray. I have seen another document which lists his mother's name as Cora. Grandfather ran away from home when he was 15 and could have even possibly been from Franklin Co., as his memories of his childhood were not clear. My father was also given the middle name Anderson which may be an indication of a connection to that family as well.
