Thos. S Sanders keeper of the county poor house in 1880 census

Does anyone have info on Thos. S Sanders who is listed in the 1880 Federal Census as being keeper of the county poor house? He was b. abt 1835 and is m. to Martha b. abt 1842. Their children are Thos. P b. abt 1862, William H b. abt 1866, Lula M b. abt 1873, Charley N b. abt 1875, and Nealy A. b. abt 1877. I would think Thomas S. Sanders must surely fit into the descendants of Elias Sanders, Sr, b 1775, progenitor of the Hart Co Sanders lines, but do not find him in any of my references. Thanks for any help
