Am looking for information on the descendents of George Washington Burns. Nicknamed Wattie or Uncle Wat. Born in 1821. Died in 1901. He lived in Townville, SC, but in his last years he bought a place from Rev. B.J. McLesky and moved to Georgia (Hart County I believe). Have not been able to trace down Margaret, Susan,
Nancy, Mary Frances, Joseph Yancy (he was married twice..once to Sara Cornelia Thrasher then to Eva Mason Sullivan), John W. Burns, and James Burns. Have a little information on Thomas C. Burns, Lucy Burns Adams, Martha S. Burns Adams.
Also understand from the obit that I have of him that he is buried in Townville, SC. There are 3 churches in Townville. Would like to know which one it might have been. Several of his family members Jordan Burns and a Joseph Burns are buried at Townville Baptist Church. Also any information on Jane White Burns his wife. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
