Seeking information about Rev. George Granberry who was born in 1797 in Pitt County, NC and lived in Harris County, GA until his death in 1855. He was married to Mary B. Folsom and they had the following children: John Marcellus (1834), Benjamin B. Granberry (b.1836 in GA); George augustus Granberry (b/ 1842 in GA, married Pacific Green Tenley; Matthew Robert Granberry (b 1844, d. 1887 in GA) married Emma Johnson and Lottie Cropp; Mary Baker Granberry (b.1846 m. Samuel Baker Baldwin, Jr.; and Richard T. Granberry (b. 1849 in GA. I am interested in what may be known about the lives of these George Granberries in Harris County and why a family would have named a son after one of them, George Granberry Neal, son of Dr. and Mrs. William Rabun Neal of Harris County, GA.
