Some more info...

We know that in 1859 the plantation was bought by Dr. E.C. Hood from Elijah Cook who oversaw the plantation. Elijah married one of William Walker's daughters.

In the 1930s the Terrell family owned the plantation, but were going through hard times and needed to sell. The owner at the time, Mamie H. Terrell, was writing letters to family memebers to see if someone in the family could buy it so they didn't have to sell it to outsiders.

As of 1963, the Jessie T. Doughtie family owned the property. We don't know who currently owns it, but would really like to connect with them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
