Thanks for the information.

My Wm. Langley and wife, Nancy Blackmon were in Harris Co. by 1840 and moved on to Talladega/Clay Co., AL before 1850. I have a feeling they are related to the Langleys in Chambers Co. but I cannot prove it.

I was just looking at my Clark records and noticed that they are in some way connected to the Walkers also. My Clarks lived in the Whitesville area. They married into the Ransom family. My Wm. B. Clark, b. 1805 VA, first wife died and he married the second time to a Elizabeth Clark in 1840 in Harris Co. They signed a pre-nuptial agreement. This Elizabeth Clark gave all of her land to her nieces in 1882. I have found a marriage record for John L.Poage and Cynthia Ann Corsey 8 Nov. 1843 in Harris Co. This was Elizabeth's niece who she deeded the land to. John L. and Cynthia had a daughter, Martha Roanan Walker, b 1853, who married a Piper, and a son, James Poage, b 1847. I have placed several queries on the Poages but apparently no one is researching this family.

Thanks again for the information. Jerri
