Hello my name is jeremy lewis from st florian al.i was researching and found out that my grandfathers parents were from there, his mother was a mcgukin from carroll county thomas mcgukin born 1880 carroll co was her father, but i am very interested in the lewis side.william j and mary a .born around 1850.i think are my ggg grandparents, their grandson enoch j lewis born 1896 was my ggrandfather,he married clark? mcgukin.had my grandfather james t lewis.i have found that some of the family is buried in little vine cemetery, james n and wyatt e and anna lewis slayton are my gg uncles and aunt.i there still a home that william lewis lived in?is there any pictures of him?also i have heard that enoch j lewis(my ggrandfather),mother was unwed and the census kind of confirms that.i think allis f lewis may have been his mother.the 1900 census shows allis and anna as william j and mary a daughters.allis is not in little vine cemetery, but in bremen cemetery there is an alicee mayes with the same birth year as i am thinking her name was aulise and not alice and maybe werent sure on the spelling.i am excited and any photos or info on this family would be greatly appreciated.
