Albert Clarence Williams served in the Civil War, CSA Co. B Batl GA Cav. He was in Virginia, Kentucky, and Maryland. CSA service per GA Pension records, filed in Newton County. Wife, Lizzie, filed for a widow's pension also in Newton County. He enlisted in May 1862 at Covington, GA with Co. B, 16th GA Battalion, Cavalry. His unit surrendered in Christianburg, VA on 9 Apr. 1865 and he was present at the surrender. He was never captured during the war. His length of service was from April 1862 until 9 April 1865.
