Slakles, Staples, Slaples Swamp
Posted by: Elaine Eaves Cox (ID *****7103) Date: July 06, 2009 at 16:24:48

I recently found a very old picture (only half) that shows a group of people (circa 1890-1900?) with cattle, trees, old buildings , saw mill (>?) and there is a sign that I can read that say Slakles, Staples, Slaples (?) Swamp.
This was in my dad's house and I am wondering if it could be somewhere in Haralson County as this is where he grew up.
It may even be some of my family members but I have no clue.
Not a very good picture but it appears to have been in a picture frame at one time. Does anyone know or ever heard of this ?? Swamp place?

thanks
Elaine Eaves Cox
