Bert,
I was just wondering if all of them went by "Shadrix" or not. Thank you for that information.
We have a name that is easily "mis-spelled" - found lots during research. Seems my Grandfather Augustus W. Shaddix (m. P. Emmaline James first time)was the only one of those 13 children who spelled it "Shaddix", until much later. The weirdest thing - my Daddy & his sister, Dessie E. J. S. Tucker, were the only ones of Grandpa's first set of children (9 - 3 died young) who spelled their name Shaddix. His brothers spelled their name - Shadix. So, each 2nd. Saturday in August in Lawrence Co., TN, where my great Grandfather Robert W. & Grandmother Laurie Jane McDougal Shadix(and her parents) are buried at Second Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, we have a Shaddix/Shadix Family reunion..
