I am looking at William M. Morris and his brother John H. or R. Morris. They are the sons of Leroy and Lucretia Mozley Morris. Wm. was born October 12, 1845 in Campbell Co., GA and died November 15, 1933 and is buried in Cobb Co., GA. He shows up in 1900 and 1910 censuses in Hiram, Paulding Co., GA. John, Wm's brother, was born in c 1848 proabably in Cobb or Campbell Co., GA. This may be John from Haralson Co.: 1900 United States Federal Census Record Name: John H Morris Home in 1900: Buncombe, Haralson, Georgia Age: 47 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1853 Birthplace: Georgia Relationship to head-of-house: Head Spouse's name: Sarah E Race: White Household Members: Name Age John H Morris 47 Sarah E Morris 42 John H Morris 17 Moses Morris 15 Della A Morris 12 Lee R Morris 11 Mary E Morris 9 Sarah I Morris 7 Armonda Morris 4 Malinda Morris 4 Marlin J Morris 1 Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: Buncombe, Haralson, Georgia; Roll: T623 203; Page: 11B; Enumeration District: 66. Or he may be this one from Paulding Co.: 1900 United States Federal Census Record, HH# 52: Name: John Morris Home in 1900: Hiram, Paulding, Georgia Age: 52 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1848 BirthPlace: Georgia Relationship to head-of-house: Head Spouses's Name: Eily Race: White Household Members: Name Age John Morris 52 Eily Morris 51 Joe V Morris 17 Del H Morris 14 Bern D Morris 12 Lusiona s Morris 9 Emma T Morris 7 The daughter of William, Ollie B. married Ben D. Morris, the son of the John from Paulding Co. I thought that John might be the brother of Wm, but the brother of Wm was not in the 1850 census in the home of Leroy and Lucretia Mozley Morris as was Wm. He did not show up until the 1860 census listed as 7 years old. So, John the father of Ben does not appear to be John the brother of Wm. Is anyone researsing these Morrises from Paulding, Cobb, Campbell, and maybe Haralson Co., GA? Can anyone sort these people out? Also, does anyone know who married who??? I am a Mozley researcher and this interests me because Lucretia Mozley is the sister to my ancestor. Thank you Mona Herrin Notify Administrator about this message?
