John W. Pope

Several years ago, I began attempting to find information on my GGF John W. (Jack) Pope. I only know a few details about him. I know that he married my great grandmother, Mary Bartlett in August 1888. I know that he married her niece, Fannie Bartlett in September, 1891. I know that these two marriages occurred in DeKalb County, AL. While doing some research last week at the Alabama Department of Archives and History, I found a John W. Pope born in 1868 in Haralson County, GA. With this in mind, the close proximity of Haralson and DeKalb counties and since I do not know anything about his family or his DOB or DOD, can anyone in the Haralson County site shed any light on this John Pope. I would sincerely appreciate any help I can get since he is the missing link in a lot of research.

Thanks,
Mike Arther
