Andrew Jackson "Jack" Estes was born in Troup Co., GA abt 1839. He married Vernon Malissie Clark Nichols, a civil war widow w/ two children in 1864 in Harris Co., GA. They had 7 girls, then 3 boys. A J & Vernon were in Cherokee Co., AL in 1880. He divorced her and moved to Haralson Co where he married Millie Tanner in 1892. Millie was the daughter of Archabald J Tanner & C Mary Morris Tanner.
A J & Millie had a large family, 13 know children, but family oral history says 16.
