Haralson County was created from Carroll and Polk Counties in 1856. Polk County was created in 1851 from part of Paulding County. I would suggest that you search Carroll and Paulding Counties.

Van Wert was the county seat of Paulding County until Polk County was created and it became part of the new county. Dallas became the new county seat of Paulding County and Cedartown was named as the county seat of Polk County.

Draketown is in Haralson County.

Hope this helps in your research.

Doris
