I just stumbled across this very old post and realized that you had responded that the only Jerkins in Richard S. Sassnet's estate file was Zachariah Jerkins.
That is not correct. It is true that Zachariah Jerkins witnessed Sassnett's will, but Richard S. Jerkins is named in the body of the will. Sassnett refers to him as his nephew and leaves him 100 acres of land. If your research on Sassnett's estate missed that, then you should not trust your info on the estate.
In later court records (Hancock Coounty Court of Ordinary), Richard S. Jerkins is identified as Richard S. Judkins. Under that name, you can find Joseph R. Sassnett being appointed guardian of Richard S. Judkins, making reports on the account activity and eventually paying Richard the value of his inheritance.
