Rhodum Griggs' daughter, Diannah Griggs, married Isham Thornton in 1805 in Hancock County, Ga. She was never married to a William Harrison Thornton. Isham Thornton & Diannah weren't divorce until 1832 in Troup County, Ga. Isham lived openly in adultery for a number of years & the court granted Diannah a divorce... A lady failed to research her Thornton line back before 1922 & attached Diannah to the wrong Thornton man.
William Harrison Thornton died ca 1820. That genealogy is wrong.
I have documented Diannah's line. She married 2. John Griggs & 3. Joseph Heard in Troup County, Ga.
