I remember Mr. Blount because he lived at my grandmother's hotel. It was the Hotel LaFayette in Sparta, GA. He must have died in the mid to late 50's as I recall. I'm not sure if he was buried there in Sparta. The Sparta Cemetery is next door to the Pierce Memorial United Methodist Street one block from Broad Street. Try the clerk of Ordinary's office or perhaps Patterson's Funeral Home has some record of his funeral. I hope this helps.
