I am looking for information about the parents of Sandy Ward. He is shown in the 1860 Census living with Jermiah and Mariah Ward. Sandy is 9 years old. I have read in other older messages on other sights that this is his Aunt and Uncle. Others said maybe grandfather? His mother I believe is Frances as she is living with him in Cherokee County Alabama in 1900. Have heard that his father is Nathan and that he went through the courts in Habersham County to have his children taken care of by other family members. I am looking to find documentation of this event. I have his parents in Habersham in 1850 but cannot find them there in 1860. Belive that Frances's maiden name is Cason. Sandy Ward is living with Griffin Cason and Wife Hannah in the 1870 Marion TN. Hannah is the Daughter of Jermiah and Mariah Ward. Sandy Ward is in the 1880 Pickens County Ga Census married to Hester. First marriage as he is married to Texanna Townsend in 1886 Jasper, Pickens County GA. Any informatiojn about Sandy's father would be greatly appreciated.
