John A. Hardin or Harden
Posted by: Mark McDonald (ID *****9490) Date: July 20, 2007 at 09:50:04

I am looking for information on John A. Hardin of Harden

Census Records 1860 John A Harden ( teacher Cou School )
Coosawatte Gordon County Georgia

Census Records 1880 John A Hardin ( farmer )
Cordon County

Checking to see if anyone may know if this is the same John A. Hardin or Harden and can someone tell me more about this family of Hardin or Harden.

I do know that the 1880 Census John A Hardin is my GGGrandfather
He served in the CSA enlisted under Captain Watters 8 Batt'n Company D of Georgia and records show that John A. Hardin finished in the civil war as a captain.
John A. Hardin was a Judge in Comanche County Texas in the late 1880's and died in 1900 while employed with the US Post Office ( Hassie, Comanche County, Texas ) .
