James (Jim B.) Bradley Tibbs Georgia to Alabama Virginia

I'm looking for some information on the family of James (Jim B.) Bradley Tibbs. He was born 20 Mar 1891 in Gordon Co GA, although we've been told that his family was originally from Virginia? He lived in Cherokee (early 1900s), Calhoun (by 1920's - 1930's), and Etowah County, Alabama, which I believe may be where he died, about 1963.
He was married to Emma Elizabeth Jenkins, born about 1882, and died about 1926, in Calhoun County, Alabama.
Here's the story; supposedly Jim(James)Bradley Tibbs family came from Virginia and either his mother or his grandmother was American Indian (Cherokee?).
If anyone has anymore information on him or his family, please reply!
Thank you!
