Sara L. Cox/Duggan/Raffo - Glynn Co. Georgia

In 1930, Our James S. Raffo was married to a Sara L. in Brunswick, Glynn co., Georgia. We are curious to find out who she was and who her children were. We know that he was very old and ill and she was his young nurse, and before he passed away she married him and inherited his wealth.

I did find a 1920 census of a Sara L. Duggan married to a John W. Duggan in Brunswick, Glynn co., Georgia where Sara's mother Nannie was living with them and their child Olive C. Duggan (11 years old at the time). I can't find a census record for them in the 1930's and have assumed that this may be our Sara - that her husband John may have died between 1920 & 1930 and she then married James prior to 1930.

Since this is the only info that I can find on a Sara L. in Georgia, I would assume her previous marriage was to John W. Duggan and prior to that she had her mothers name of Cox.

This Sara was born about 1883. Her mother, Nannie A. Cox was found in the 1880 census living with her sister Caroline, and her brothers Richard and Henry. She was born abt 1853 in Alabama.

Could someone verify for me that this is the correct Sara L. that married my James S. Raffo??? And if you have any further info on Sara's children, that would be extremely helpful to our search.
