Howells in Gilmer and Lumpkin County before 1870.

I am trying to help my friend who descends from a Mary Howell and Richard Blackstock who married in Gilmer Co., Ga. I believe that the Mary Howell found in the house of her mother in 1860 is her Mary. There was a marriage in Habersham Co., Ga. in 1831 between Jonah Howell and Mary Goodwin, but the problem is there is another Jonah Howell in Cherokee Co., Al. in the 1860 census with a wife named Mary. At any rate Lumpkin was taken from Habersham and I believe that the widow Mary in Lumpkin is Mary Goodwin. Can you help me. Here is the 1850 Lumpkin Co., census:

House 46, Mary Howell, age 38, b. S.C.
Narcisus, daug. age 18, b. GA
Alexander, age 17, b. Ga
Mary, age 14 twin
Josephine, age 14
William, age 10(or 11)

Hope you can help me with this family.

Does anyone know who the above children married?
