JUNE, I'm trying to find my gr grandmother, Emma Long Carroll. In the 1880 Gilmer County Census there a Joseph T Long age 36, his wife Mira V, children Emma, Wm, Mary, Lula, and Alice. I thought Joseph T and Thomas Josephus might be the same person. I read the article in the Gilmer County Heritage and the Annuals of Upper Georgia. Looks like i've got the same info you have and it may not even be my family.
