William Kinsey shot in Gilmer Co. 1844

I have three newspaper articles about a shooting in Oct of 1844 between Bob Woody and Webb Findley that resulted in William Kinsey being shot and killed. I am tring to find out if this is my great, great grandfather William Kinsey. He was married in Gilmer Co in 1844 to Jane Worley and then sometime between then and 1850 moved to Bartow County in the Pine Log area. We lost them after the 1880 census. After finding these articles I am almost positive this in him. One article listed Ellijay, Ga Oct. 6, 1844 William Kinsey, Jr died on the day of the election about 3 o'clock from a wound received on Sunday night previous. Kinsey was at Blue Ridge church near Fannin Co. line on Sunday night when Bob Woody and Webb Findley got into a shooting scrape, and was trying to part them, when he was shot. Another article list Murder in Gilmer, from the Dahlonega, Ga Signal. It says about the same thing that a homicide occured in the upper edge of Gilmer Co. near the Fannin line about a week ago (written on Oct 15, 1844). In this article it said he was instantly killed and no arrest made. I would like to know if this is my great, great grandfather and if there is an obituary for him and where he is buried. William married Jane Worley in 1844 in Gilmer Co. so maybe they went back there to live. William would have been 66 years old in 1844. He might also have been a founding member of the Mountaintown Baptist Church. The church list a William Kinsey as a founding member. Can anyone help me on this?
Thanks
