Henry W. & Katherine Jarrett Collins/Census Lookup

Henry W. & Katherine Jarrett Collins were my 2X great grandparents. They were born in NC, ca. 1808-1810 and 1806-1811, respectively, and are buried in Cherry Log, GA. Two of their daughters, Minerva (married Zemary Watkins) and Marintha C. Collins, also moved to Cherry Log, GA and are buried in the Underwood Cemetery.

A cousin/researcher told me that Henry & Katherine were supposed to have been listed on the Gilmer Co., GA censuses for 1850 and 1860. I am in hopes that someone in the county has access to these censuses and will do a lookup for me. Did these censuses list residents' state of birth?

Henry & Katherine's son, William Newton "Fiddlin' Bill" Collins, married Permelia Smith, born Sep 1839 in GA, so I am also curious to know whether any Smith families with a daughter named Permelia (possibly listed as Melis, Melie, or Mellie) were listed on the above censuses.

Thank you in advance.
