A little more about the wreck. A road forman relived the engineer who went back to the coach on the north bound. The north bound train was to take siding. The south bound had just got there and would get the switch for the north bound to go into the siding. The roadforman misread his train orders and was planning on going down the mainline to the north end. This was in the days before raido communications. Something else signals were to be placed into service the next year 1927 or 1928. The siding is infront of Goodyear mills at Rockmart. Its still there but to small for meeting trains now and just used for storage of cars.
