Dear Mr Wadsworth,
I am the granddaughter of James Garfield Hunnicutt. He worked on the Southern RR in Atlanta. He was killed in a car wreck in atlanta about dec 1935. He had lived in Knoxville and moved with the RR before 1920. I can find no information about him except family memories. He had invented a cow catcher, sand brakes and other things. He was widowed about 1920 in atlanta. Grandmother's name was Lou Phyllis McAfry Hunnicutt. 2 children Kathleen and James w.
Specifically I want to know if he married again to Mrs Elsie _____. or anything about him.
I live now in Arkansas, but came here from Near Knoxville Tenn, Maryville. My parents are both dead and since my grandparents died so young we have no records.
You said you had much on the Railroads and maybe you have something on James Garfield Hunnicutt since he was an inventor.
I would appreciate anything you have. Sincerely, Nancy Dunn Hancock (mother was a Kathleen Hunnicutt, dau of James G Hunnicutt)
