In the History of Franklin Co., GA, pub. 1986 by the Franklin Co. Historical Society, Carnesville, GA, it is indicated that Absalom Adams had one draw in the 1805 Land Lottery and one David Adams had two draws. Neither won a prize. In a list of early Franklin Co. settlers 1799-1805, taken from the Minutes of the Franklin Co. Inferior Court, there are listed Abraham Adam and Howell Adams. In a list of the heads of households in the 1830 Franklin Co. census, the only Adams are Absalom Adams and David Adams. There was an Absalom Adams listed in some deed records in Wilkes Co., GA 1793 to 1801. In the 1787 personal property tax lists for Culpeper Co., VA there are listings for both an Absalom Adams, Sr. and Jr.
