A Short man married A Green Woman

John or James Short m. Mary Jane or Jean Green in the early
1800.
They had a daughter Mary Ann "Polly" Green? I can't find any thing on these two. Were they married?
Mary Ann Green married David William Couey 15 July 1847.
Any Help will be appreciated as I have nothing before
the Green /Couey that I am sure of.
