Beulah Buchanan

Ladies and Gents,

I am looking for information about a young lady who is buried in the Central Grove Cemetery on the Berry College campus near Rome, Georgia.

Beulah Buchanan was born April 29, 1905 and died November 29, 1917. The only other information on her tombstone is "At Rest." There are only three other marked graves in this cemetery - a Roland, Doyal King, and J.P. Bray.

The Buchanan name is not common today in this part of Floyd County and her tombstone is certainly modest, suggesting that she did not come from a well-to-do family.

Does anyone know of any Buchanans in Floyd County in the early 1900s or (dare I hope) anything about Beulah Buchanan?

Sincerely,

Daniel M. Roper
