I haven't heard of a 16 Mile Church in Floyd County, but there is a community called 6 Mile just south of Rome. It can be found on Georgia maps of recent vintage (say 1980s or 1990s) although it's not on the current highway map. 6 Mile is on U.S. Hwy 411 about six miles south of Rome, near where Hwy 411 and U.S. Hwy. 27 split, with the former heading west to Cave Spring and the latter heading south to Cedartown. I've never heard of a 6 Mile Church, but there may well have been one. Vans Valley Methodist Church is just a mile or two from 6 Mile.
