Hi, I realize that years have passed since you posted this query, but I have found John Sylvester's resting place in Atlanta, and wanted to let you know. His birth date is        Jan. 22, 1847, and his death date is Apr. 19, 1923. He and his wife, Sarah Findley Lester are buried in Westview Cemetery. I have created a memorial for them on Findagrave, with photos of his marker, and someone else has added his death certificate. His Findagrave number is 77376783. Death record states that his father was a Matthew Lester, and it was signed by a Fred F. (Findley?) Lester, probably their son.

Rhonda
