Does anyone have any idea about the relationship between these families as found in the 1850 Census, District 29, Fayette Co, GA: Elbert Bishop 60 NC Elinor " 59 GA Henry " 55 NC Nancy Handford 86 GA and next door: Alford Dromon (looks like but indexed as Dromore) 46 GA Lucy A " 45 GA Mary AH " 21 GA Morgan B " 14 GA Nancy E " 9 GA John Sapp 22 GA Sarah " 15 GA Mary Ann " 17 GA Elizabeth " 12 GA William Bishop 10 GA Ellen Tucker 2 GA Louisa A " 1 GA This is what I do know: Ellen and Louisa A Tucker living with Alford and Lucy A Dromon are the children of Bartly and Lucy "Lovey" Ann Bishop Tucker who are enumerated separately in the same district with their other children. I don't know why these two are listed with a different family. Also, William Bishop living with Alford and Lucy A Dromon is the brother to Lucy Ann Bishop Tucker. Same question as above. I'm guessing that the 4 Sapps listed with Alford and Lucy A Dromon may be siblngs, but again, how are they connected to the family. I'm also guessing that Elbert and Elinor Bishop may be parents or grandparents of Lucy Ann Bishop Tucker. Is Lucy A Dromon the mother of Lucy A Bishop Tucker from a first marriage? If so, are Mary AH and Morgan B issue of a first marriage for Alford? I'm also guessing that Elbert Bishop and Henry Bishop may be brothers and that Nancy Handford may be the mother of Elinor. I did find a marriage record for Elbert Bishop and Eleanor Stanford, 4 SEP 1809, Columbia Co, GA. Is this the same couple? Stanford and Handford are close enough for a transcription error. Anyone that can help me untangle this mysterious web would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! Eileen Tucker Taft tafte@bellsouth.net Notify Administrator about this message?
