I am researching Josephine Burdett, who appears to be a niece of Georgia's, although I have a different birthdate for Georgia.

Josephine was my greatgrandmother and I knew her when I was small. While looking for information on Josephine prior to her marriage in 1894 in Jefferson County AL to Joseph Russell Skinner, I collected some limited info on the Burdett family by tracing Harvey A. Burdett back from 1930 Jefferson County AL (they had lived in the same area) and found Josephine listed with Harvey, Georgia, other siblings, and their mother in 1870 Fayette Co GA. Based on the 1860 Gwinnett Co GA census and some genealogical info posted by Scott Dingle at the link below, the parents are Stephen Burdett/Burdette and Lavina/Laviney/Lavinia Hendricks.

1870 GA Census, Fayette County, Fayetteville, page 73-B
Burdett, John, 22, farm laborer, GA
---Georgia, 23, keeping house, GA
---Harvey A., 16, farm laborer, GA
---Waters, (male), 15, farm laborer, GA
---Stephen, 13, farm laborer, GA
---Berry, 12, farm laborer, GA
---William, 10, farm laborer, GA
---Josephine, 10 mos,, Nov 1869, GA
Wills, Wesley, 21, farm laborer, GA
Burdett, Laviney, 39, keeping house, GA (the mother of Burdett's other than Josephine; see Stephen Burdette family below.)

Burdett, John S., 21, farm laborer, NC, page 82-A
---Nancy, 36 (26?), at home, SC
---Wm, 4, GA

1860 Gwinnett Co GA census, post office listed as Sawnnie or Lawnnie...should have been Suwanee.
Stephen BURDOT, 45, Farm L (farm laborer), $150 personal property, SC
Lavina, 41, SC
George, 18, Farm L (farm laborer), SC
Nancy, 16, SC
Dolly, 14, SC
John, 12, SC
James, 10, GA
Harvy, 8, GA
Waters, 6, GA
Stephen, 5, GA
Samuel, 3, GA
William, 5 months, GA (census taken 20 July 1860)

In Company A, 42nd Georgia Infantry, CSA, there was a Stephen Burdett and a George Burdett....likely father and son. Scott Dingler (see link below) reported that Stephen died 2 AUG 1862 in Bean Station, Tennessee and that George died there or in Gwinnett Co GA about 1863.

It may be that your Georgia is a daughter of one of the Burdett sons.
