Fayette County Georgia Will Book "A", pages 87-88. Will is Alexander Smith's. He left life-estate to his wife, Patience, and at her death $5 to his siblings, then divided remaining estate between several named people some of whom appear to be the married daughters of Stephen Rentfrow, but especially to "..Nancy Rentfro, daughter of Stephen Rentfro".
Alexander Smith married Patience Cobb 14 February 1832 (Fayette Co. Ga. Marriage Book "A", #158( states in will that he lived with her 17 years, Will dated 20 June 1849, probated 04 March 1850.))On 1850 Census Nancy Rentfro(24) and Susan Rentfro(16) living with Patience Smith. Census was after Alexander Smith's death. Patience died circa Jan. 5, 1870. Nancy Prestley living next door to her brother Burkett on 1870 census. I would look for deed from her or her estate Or Alexander's after 1850 until 1870's to Nancy. Hope this helps. reply to Clarence Leathers at email: email@example.com
