Pat I have been down so long It like getting to know old friends now on the boards I saw your post on the MORRIS family and we suspect that Sarah who md Wesley Turner is a Morris of course we have not find anything to prove or disapprove ,it, as yet. I was in Fayette Co., this last weekend in fact in the Woosley area. as you know the Turner farm was from the Old liberty Chapel Cem to the River in Fact either Moses Turner dtr or str who married Rowland Stubbs gave the 5 acres for the cemetery and many are buried their I suspect. That Sarah who md Wesley is their in an unmarked grave along with Eli, Drucilla Quick, Moses J. and Martha Moses Turner [2nd wife] and unk 1st wife who I and McLucas researcher suspect was a McLucas out of Marlbobo SC I spoke with a McLucas researcher and in their history Moses Sr md a McLucas in SC but we have some closed minds on this sumation. Back to the Subject Sarah ?Morris? md Wesley Turner probably in SC for no record of marriage in GA Wesley died of smallpox in 1862 and Sarah lived to receive from her father in law Moses a plot of land 50 acres a life estate But... her family sold the land to Bogan Mask withholding 5 acres house and gardenspot until her death then it would go to him she died ca 1904 I have not learned if they bur her at OLCCC or somewhere else but I suspect OLCCC NOW... do you have her in your morris line my new edress is sshorn@alltel.net Sue Notify Administrator about this message?
