Hi Folks! I'm searching for ANY information on my great grandfather, James Andrew Moore. He first shows up in the 1860 census, aged 19 (DOB is 17 OCT 1840), living in the household of a James Parks and working as a miller. He served in the Civil War, and afterward married Sarah Matilda (Legg) Huckabee on 30 JUL 1865. They had six children together. He pasted away 06 NOV 1913. I THINK he was born in Georgia, and as far as I know lived his entire life in Morganton, save for his war service. Some of his children moved to Hazlehurst, where my grandfather, John Avery Moore, married Latitia Aleph Latimer. (His sister Callie married Latitia's brother.) can anyone help?? Thanks!
