I have been to Moore Cemetery and found the headstone for James Davis and his wife Catherine Davis. His headstone reads: "In memory of my husband James Davis age 63 years".
James was born in 1855 (1900 Census Emanuel Co., GA) and died at age 63 so he died in 1918.
Her's reads: "Catherine wife of James Davis b.Feb. 23, 1854-d. May 11, 1931 Dear Mother gone to the Mansion above------".Emanuel Co., GA.
Their child Lula Mae Davis married George Washington Saunders and is buried in Waycross GA. Lula Mae Saunders is my grandmother.
