I think the progenitor of the Emanuel County Lambs may have been Abraham Lamb who migrated from NC.

You will find Abraham's will at
http://www.geocities.com/montgomerycountyga/corec/wills.htm#LAMB

My husband has two Lamb ancestors I can't connect to any of the Emanuel Lamb families and I wonder if you have any knowledge of them? They are:

1. Martha J. Lamb, born 1821.
Unknown parents; unknown birthplace.
Married Jesse P. Scott in Emanuel County in 1843.
Died 1893 in Emanuel County.

2. George Washington Lamb, born 1834, probably in Missouri.
Unknown parents.
Married Leasy Anderson in Emanuel County in 1866.
Died 1910 in FL.
