Origin of Lambs in Emanuel Co., GA

There are many Lambs listed in the Emanuel County Cemetery Book. Does anyone know where these Lambs originated before 1800? Census images show that my ancestors are from NC. I have heard through one source that they were in CT before NC. The Lambs in the book are younger, even, than my own grandfather who was born in 1848 in Henry Co., GA.
