Hi, Steve, thanks for your reply, anyway. I don't know about the Cross connection, or the Stephens you asked about. The thing is we don't know even who my great-grandfather John Henry Morgan Stephens's parents were, and don't know of any siblings he may have had. He was born in 1861, (don't know how we know that). So your Stephens couldn't be his father, but doesn't mean he wasn't related. These Stephenes of ours seem to be very elusive. If I find a connection to yours, will let you know. I am trying to search on all the Stephens I find in that area. I am suspecting an American Indian connection, but I may be completely off the track.

By the way, as for my lookup request, my cousin contacted the college library in Swainsboro and they said they would not have that kind of record book, or whatever, anyway. Beverly
