Hi, Marion --
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post about Haleys in Elbert County, GA. My wife grew up in Hart County, GA, and we have encountered the variable spelling of Haley/Hailey there as well. I have found a Reuben Hailey, b. 1782 in Elbert County. However, my most dramatic discovery is the sheer number of people with the surname Haley/Hailey/Healey/Healy, etc., who lived in Elbert County! Thanks again.
