Don't know if I can help but my wife's great-grandmother was a Hailey. You will find the spelling of Haley and Hailey are used - somethimes in the same family. Look at the first Haley that shows up in Elbert County who is Rueben born in Va in 1780 or 1790's. His son Rueben T Haley was born in 1823 in Ga. My wife's connection is his daughter Elizabeth Hailey (notice spelling) who was born in 1849 died in 1888. Maybe someone else can tell you where Frances Marion Haley comes from.
