Craig,

I have a copy of James Alexander's will. Dated 1874, Madison Co., Virginia in which he list his children including his son William.

I have not determined the parents of James.

The first instance I have come across of a Mordica Alexander is in the 1820 census of Elbert Co. Georgia.

William is listed in the 1820 census of Georgia in Smiths, Elbert County. Do you have any idea where Smiths, GA is?
