Richard W. Martin was in the 1840 Elbert Co. census. The only other Martins in the Elbert Co. 1840 census were Nathaniel Martin and Woodbury Martin. Flemings in the 1840 census were David C., Margaret, M. L., Moses and Sarah, all as heads of households. There was a James B. Martin in the 1830 Elbert Co. census, as were Margaret and William Fleming. The 1850 census had E. Martin and L.H.O. Martin.
