I would like to know if any of you have any info on any of the following Harris men..Allen and Sterling/Starling in Franklin County around Gum Log Creek...Allen witnessed a deed for Sterling ,purchasing land beside him and a joint selling of land together..Allen witneesed a deed for a Darvin (Darbin? )Harris in 1803 for 130 acres on Van Creek waters..a Christopher Harris and his wife Catey sold 7th of October 1796 to Tryon Harris 100 acres of land on Spring Branch(Darvin 's property joined) as well as deeding land to Darvin Harris 20 Sept. 1796 100 acres adj. to Robert Middleton at mouth of spring branch..I wonder if this is the same as Colsons Branch waters, the same property he (Darvin)bought in 1792? I need too find out what if any relation these men may have had to each other? Allen must have died somewhere between 1814-15..a William Hooper administered his estate and sterling sold out of Gum Log, moving more toward Hudsons creek- webb creek area shortly afterwards....Please, if you have anything you can share on any of these Harris men, contact me at skyefaery@bellsouth.net...Thanks!!
Brenda Carroll
