There are 3 landowner maps of Hart Co. available for purchase through the Savannah River Valley Genealogical Society and the Hartwell library. Two are late 1800's and one is about 1926 or so, but you need to be looking in Elbert & Wilkes Cos. to find the earliest land surveys for Hart.

You might also be interested in DeedMapper software. It allows the plotting of metes and bounds survey data on current day maps. Type in DeedMapper in your search engine. If that doesn't work for some reason, contact me directly and I'll look up the web site.

I've just gotten into this and I'm trying to get organized for a trip to GA in September specifically to look for land grant and other property survey data to use in DeedMapper.
