Paula: I've noted some of your current and past queries on the Faulkner Forum, and see that you are researching my direct Faulkner line, to wit:

John Faulkner, b. NC. m. Sarah Tinsley, b. VA
Children: William, John (Jr.), Peter, James, Zachariah (my 3rd great), and Rhoda.

Re: Faulkner/McEver marriage 21 April 1822 in Madison Co., GA - John Thomas Faulkner to Cynthia McEver, d/o Andrew McEver and Prudence Dickason/Dickinson, 6 children known, I have names and spouses names, and some grandchildren and spouses, as well as for William, Peter, James, Zachariah and their progeny. Although Sarah Tinsley's line is documented from England, John has been rather elusive, and I believe I've made the connection in my recent searches in NC and VA, but I'm not posting until I am more positive. John had a large plantation in Surry Co, NC, he bought and sold land in NC and GA, he and his sons bought and sold land in GA, they were literate, and although they "farmed" (with slaves), they were in business, trades and the ministry, also. Some went on to Scott Co., MS (my line). According to CW military records, three brothers/cousins in one MS.unit were described as "...tall (6 ft), black hair, dark-complected with intense blue eyes" and "excellent horsemen, fearless.." I have about 75 plus collateral names from NC,GA & MS, so please contact me directly and we can compare records and sources. Thanks. Anne O'Brien, Richardson, TX. E-mail:
