Looking for information on the parents and other ancestors of Herschel M. Morgan, b. January 3, 1954, Effingham County, GA, d. July 8, 1930, Savannah, GA. Specifically want to be able to find how he was related to other Morgans in the area. Married on date unknown to Ellen M. Ruth. His death certificate says Herschel P. Morgan. Known children:
1. Lovick Pierce Morgan (my greatgrandfather)
2. Ruth Morgan
3. Edna Morgan
4. Nina Morgan
Herschel's father is listed on his death certificate as Dr. William Morgan, but I have not been able to find anything further on his family at all. Herschel had a brother, Melville, and a nephew named Corley B. Morgan, and he was related in some way to Morgans living in Clyo, Georgia in the 1930'-1940s. My father remembers a cousin named Frieda Morgan about the same age as he. My dad was born in 1930. I would appreciate any information that ties Herschel to other Morgans in this area. This has been a major brick wall for several years.
