There is an Aaron Goolsby in the 1830 Early Co., Ga. Census with a son the right age to be the Lazarus Goolsby in the 1840 Early Co., Ga. Census with a wife and three children under 5. In the 1850 Census of Early Co., Ga. there is a Susan Goolsbee, widowed, with three children; namely, Anderson A. (I believe he was actually Andrew A.) age 9, Martha C. age 6, Charles W age 3, and Margaret A., age 1.
In 1860 in Marion Co., Texas there are 3 children in the household of John Goolsby, formerly of Jasper Co., Ga., that I believe to be the children of Susan and Lazarus Goolsby. I need a look up of the marriage of Lazarus and Susan Goolsby and direction to find Early Co. orphan court records for this period as it appears that both Lazarus and Susan are dead by 1860. Many thanks, rachel
